AIMA members first to comment on media news

We're pleased to share a new AIMA initiative giving members the opportunity to be first to respond when a media story breaks that's relevant to our industry.

As part of their commitment to AIMA, Clear Hayes PR will notify us whenever a media news story crosses their path that they believe is worthy of media agency commentary. When this happens, AIMA will notify and invite members to submit their point of view.

The first instance of this occurred last week, following news that SEG had acquired MediaWorks. Thank you to Kwan Ng from King St and Grant Maxwell of EightyOne Media for responding - your comments were published in StopPress and AdNews.

AIMA's motivation for establishing this programme is to ensure our members are leading industry discussion in the channels read by advertisers and marketers, with member agency brands seen to hold an opinion and be associated with thought leadership. Being first to comment also reinforces another key differentiator AIMA brings to client business: responsiveness, achieved without the need for committee approval.

And BTW, AIMA will use its discretion as to when we will comment. Our preference is for member agencies to take the spotlight and create brand fame for our sector.

If you believe your agency should be included on our alert email, reach out to your agency's main AIMA contact. And thank you to Clear Hayes PR for enabling us to deliver this initiative.
